Whenever it comes to building self confidence and trying something new, often times we hear things like “Fake it till you make it“. Though it may sound like a good idea sometimes, trying to be something you are not can be difficult and almost impossible for some. Having to put up a front when you are all anxious on the inside isn’t going to help you achieve much.
I say, admit your weaknesses and be vulnerable. It’s ok if you are not confident or don’t know how to do something. Go try anyway.
Make it till you make it.
Want to be a better speaker? Make more speeches.
Want to be a better writer? Make more writings.
Want to be a better salesman? Make more sales calls.
Want to be a better cook? Make more meals.
Want to be more confident? Make more decisions to make more things.
Practice, practice, practice. The way anything is developed is through practice. We all learn to be better that way.
The more you practice, the more you can, the more you want to, the more you enjoy it, the less it scares you.
