DAY 3 – Dumb Things I Need To Stop Saying No.1

I realised I have said (and unconsciously or ignorantly still be saying) a tonne of dumb things. As years gone by and I have wised up a little, I realised that all these dumb things I used to say were actually a stumbling block to my growth as a person. To my work, my relationships, my health, my finance, my everything.

I decided to come up with a list of self-limiting dumb things I used to say or need to stop saying. As I mature as a person, I am pretty sure this list will get longer. Days, months or years from now, I will continue discovering dumb things I have said in the past.

This could possibly be the dumbest reason to never try something.

EVERYTHING is easier said than done.

“I want to poo!”

Easier said than done.

“I want to call for pizza delivery”

Easier said than done.

“I want to take a shower”

Easier said than done.

What ISN’T easier said than done?

Now that I realised how dumb it is, it becomes really obnoxious when others tell me the same thing.

You know how someone comes to you complaining about something and you would kindly suggest things they can do to fix it.

And they would say “Yeah, it’s easier said than done.”

What do you mean? So, you are not even going to try?

If this is something you always say, try examining it. Does this excuse stop you from growing and moving forward to things you want to achieve? I know it did stop me.

So, the next time you are tempted to think “It’s easier said than done”, tell yourself

“Why don’t I give it a try? It might just work!”

Comment down below and share with me the things you used to say that limits you or things you wish others would stop saying. Would love to learn from you.

  1. I love the graphic. So cute! I said less ‘I am so busy’ because it stopped me from pursuing things I desire to do more like ‘baking’, reading, studying God’s word. What you say does impact what you can do!

    1. Thanks! It’s easily done using the website I linked below the blog post. Yes, that’s one of those things I say too! It literally puts a full stop to what we should be doing. When are you bringing over some baked stuff for us??? Haha
